SnapParty for birthdays

The birthday photo game that brings your guests together.

Your guests scan a QR code and get photo and video tasks on their own phone. That’s how shared moments happen, encounters across the tables and birthday photos nobody else would have taken. No app and no guest account.

Why a birthday of all things

When friends, family, work and club all meet.

At a birthday, people come together from very different stages of life. Some have known each other for twenty years, others for five minutes.

The photo and video tasks give people an easy reason to talk to someone and do something together — at a thirtieth just as much as at a sixtieth and at every party in between. What comes out of it wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

Examples

Photo tasks that get your guests playing together.

Tasks for birthdays are already prepared. You can use them straight away, change them or add your own with names, roles and your in-jokes.

  • Photo togetherFind Leon (football club) and take a photo together.
  • First memoryTell us in a short video about your first memory of the birthday girl or boy.

For hosts

You prepare it once. SnapParty takes care of the rest.

  • Tasks run by themselves

You set up the tasks, the guests and the design beforehand. During the party SnapParty hands out new tasks and keeps score.

  • Photos become part of the party

New pictures can appear on a TV or projector straight away. Anyone who spots themselves there takes a look — and usually joins in with the next task.

  • Afterwards, everything is in one place

All the photos and videos from the tasks in full resolution, plus the messages from the guestbook — instead of scattered across phones and group chats.

Video guestbook

Birthday wishes, stories and voices — on video.

Your guests record short video messages right on their own phone: a shared memory, a wish, a funny story or advice for the next decade. So what stays after the party isn’t just faces, but voices, laughter and little stories.

Collect birthday photos

All the pictures in one place — without asking around afterwards.

Every photo from a task lands in your shared gallery straight away. Your guests need neither an app nor an account of their own — the QR code is enough.

After the party you download everything in full resolution: the photos and videos from the tasks, plus the messages from the video guestbook with their texts — including the ones nobody would have remembered the next day.

Frequently asked questions

What hosts want to know beforehand.

How does a birthday photo game work?

You set up the tasks and guests beforehand and get a QR code. Your guests scan it at the party, enter their name and see their first task straight away. Every photo and every video lands in your shared gallery and, if you like, live on the photo wall.

Can I create my own photo tasks for the birthday?

Yes, as many as you like. The prepared catalogue is a suggestion: you can change any task, switch it off or replace it — and add your own with names, roles and your in-jokes.

Can guests record video messages too?

Yes. As well as photo tasks there are video tasks and the video guestbook: short messages, recorded right on their own phone.

Can I show the photos live on a TV or projector?

Yes. The photo wall runs in a browser window and shows new pictures as soon as they’re uploaded. You decide whether a picture has to be approved first.

Can I download the birthday photos after the party?

Yes, in full resolution and all together — photos and videos in one place, not one by one from five group chats.

Is it only for milestone birthdays?

No. It works wherever enough guests come together who don’t all know each other. At milestone birthdays that just happens particularly often.

What’s the minimum number of guests?

From about fifteen guests, the group tasks and the tasks about particular people really come into their own. It works with smaller groups too, but feels more like a shared photo album.

Do guests need to install an app?

No. Scan the QR code, enter a name, off you go. SnapParty runs in the browser.

Can older guests manage it?

Getting started is a QR code and a name. After that there’s a task and a button for taking photos on the screen — nothing more.

What does SnapParty cost for a birthday?

There are three package sizes, based on the number of guests — a one-off payment for your party, no subscription and no renewal. The current prices are on the home page under “Packages”. The largest covers up to 400 guests; if there are more of you, send us a quick message with your number of guests and the date.

Can you give SnapParty as a birthday gift?

Yes, and for milestone birthdays that’s more the rule: children, siblings or the circle of friends set up the party, pick the tasks and hand it over ready to go — on the evening, the QR code is all it takes. The party stays in the account of whoever set it up.
