SnapParty for the Christmas party

The photo and video game for your Christmas party.

Get your Christmas party moving – without awkward compulsory games. Your colleagues open SnapParty via a QR code and get photo and video tasks over the course of the evening. That’s how conversations, shared moments and pictures happen that nobody else would have taken.

Why it needs a programme

The food is planned. But what brings people together?

Food, venue and drinks are organised. Even so, many people spend the evening mostly with the colleagues they already know well.

SnapParty gets things moving. Small photo and video tasks give people a reason to start talking, do something together and get to know people from other teams too.

And there’s no compulsory group programme. Whoever feels like it joins in; whoever would rather talk, talks.

Take them with you

Photo and video tasks for your Christmas party.

SnapParty combines classic Christmas party games with photo challenges and short video tasks. Instead of everyone having to play the same game at the same time, every guest gets their tasks right on their smartphone. These come ready-made — you can use them in the game or take them as inspiration.

Your own tasks

Your Christmas party. Your tasks.

Ready-made tasks are only the beginning. You can add your own and build in colleagues, departments or typical in-jokes from your company.

“Find someone from accounts.” “Take a photo with the longest-serving colleague.” “Thank someone for this year.” That’s how a general party game becomes a game that really feels like your Christmas party.

Everything you can set for each task

Video messages

Not just photos. The voices of the evening too.

Video tasks produce short messages people actually enjoy watching again later: a thank-you to a colleague, a wish for the coming year or the funniest memory from the past twelve months. That way SnapParty also becomes a digital guestbook of your Christmas party along the way.

How it works

Prepare it once. On the evening, SnapParty runs by itself.

  1. 1

    Set up the Christmas party

Name, date and the occasion — choose “Christmas party” and the matching tasks are ready in your party.

  2. 2

    Choose the tasks

Switch off what doesn’t suit you and simply add your own tasks. It takes ten minutes and no more.

  3. 3

    Share the QR code

Print the table cards and put them out. Your guests open SnapParty right on their smartphone — no app and no account.

  4. 4

    Get going together

Over the evening the tasks are handed out, and new photos and videos appear automatically. Afterwards they’re in one place, to view and download.

Big and small parties

For 30 colleagues. Or 300.

SnapParty works at a small Christmas party just as well as at a big company event. The tasks are spread across your guests, so not everyone is doing the same thing at the same time.

In a small group, the most exciting tasks are the ones that get people telling stories: the video messages and the looks back at the year. At bigger parties, teams, points and the live photo wall add extra momentum — as do the tasks that lead across departments and locations.

You can also unlock tasks over the course of the evening, so everything isn’t there at once.

Prices

You only pay by number of guests.

All the important features are included. You simply choose the package that matches your number of guests — no feature comparison and no hidden add-ons. Christmas parties work the same as any other party.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about SnapParty at the Christmas party

Do our guests need to install an app?

No. SnapParty runs in the browser. A QR code on the table is enough — and then the tasks are there.

Do the guests need an account?

No. There’s no sign-in and no registration for guests. Only the person setting up the party needs an account.

Can guests record videos too?

Yes. As well as photo tasks there are video tasks — thank-yous, looks back at the year and wishes for the next. Each task asks for exactly one kind, so your guests know straight away what’s expected.

Can we split the guests into teams?

Yes, and across departments if you want. Points and the leaderboard can be switched on — without them it runs as shared collecting without competition.

Can photos run on a screen during the party?

Yes. The live photo wall runs in a browser window on a laptop connected to the projector or TV and shows new pictures as soon as they arrive. You decide whether a picture has to be approved first.

Can we adapt SnapParty to our company?

Colours, fonts and background can be set, and you can fill the tasks with your teams, locations and in-house stories. That doesn’t mean a full corporate design package with your own logo in every place.

Which games work for a company Christmas party?

Anything that works without a stage and doesn’t put anyone on the spot. Photo challenges have the advantage of running alongside everything else: whoever wants to join in does; whoever would rather talk, talks. And at the end you still have pictures of lots of guests.

How does a photo challenge work at the Christmas party?

The guests scan a QR code on the table and see their tasks. They take photos or film right from the browser — no app and no account. The pictures collect in a shared gallery that you can also put up on a projector.

Can we create our own tasks for our company?

Yes. You can create as many of your own tasks as you like and set for each one whether a photo or a video is wanted, how many points it earns and when it becomes visible.

Does it bring colleagues from different departments together?

That’s the part that works best — but only if you name your groups when setting up (the departments, say). Then tasks can specifically ask for someone from another group. Without that information, exactly those tasks drop out.

Can I unlock tasks later in the evening?

Yes. Tasks can be split into waves; you decide on the evening when the next one opens. That way you can unlock the dancing tasks only once people are really dancing.

Does SnapParty work with 100 or 300 guests too?

Yes. The packages differ in the number of guests; beyond that nothing changes in how it works. The largest package covers up to 400 guests.

There are more than 400 of us — does that work too?

There’s no ready-made package for that, but there is a solution: send us a quick message with your number of guests and the date, and we’ll set up the party to fit. Nothing changes in how it works — only the size is set by hand.

Does the host have to book it themselves?

No. Just as often it’s the assistant, the organising team or one department for another who books — and sets up the party at the same time. On the evening, the QR code is all it takes. The party stays in the account of whoever set it up.

What happens to the photos and videos after the Christmas party?

They stay in the gallery and can be downloaded all together in full resolution — photos and videos from the tasks, plus the messages from the guestbook. How long they stay available is set out in our privacy policy (available in German).
